Fixing structure
Page numbers, zones, the table of contents and chapters, tables, footnotes and indexes.
- Fix page numbers
Check each page's label against the printed page number and correct it, one page at a time or a whole range at once, before you make any other change.
- Check and fix zones page by page
Compare each page's zones with the HTML preview and fix what the analysis got wrong: covers and ads, line breaks, columns, running heads, page breaks and TOC links.
- Build the table of contents and chapters
Build the table of contents that becomes the ePUB navigation, and set chapter breaks so each chapter becomes its own HTML file in the ePUB.
- Fix tables
Redraw a table PDFxt tagged wrongly, correct its rows, columns, spans and header rows in the table editor, and join a table that runs across two pages.
- Fix footnotes and note links
Check that each note cue links to its note, draw any note PDFxt missed, and rebuild the two-way links between cues and notes with Process Notes linking.
- Process an index
Tag a whole index in one step. PDFxt creates the index entries and links every page number to its page, then you check each index page and fix any zoning problems.
